Thanksgiving Road Trip

Took an awesome road trip last weekend with a couple friends, Jon and Scott... started with Arches National Park:

(A lot more photos from the trip here...)

Hard to tell here, but all four of us are up the tree. There was a lot of climbing and jumping this trip.... :)

Sunset at Delicate Arch

Next day was Canyonlands National Park:

And finally, snowshoeing, north of Durango:

Moab was busy this Thanksgiving. The weather was clear and made for happiness.
Since you made it to Durango to snowshoe, just had to add, the La Sal Mountains beside Moab is good for snow shoes too. Rentals are available at both Gear Heads and Rim Cyclery. Rim also has cross-country skiis. In addition, Tag-A-Long Expeditions has two winter huts that sleep ten. There is propane heat, wall lamps, and two burner cook top, an out house and snow cat service to haul water and your gear into the huts. Tomasaki is a 5 mile trail and Beaver Lake is 8 miles.
There's more to Moab in winter than you might know.

I think that was the most personalized (and helpful) spam comment I've ever gotten.

I am now intrigued by Moab's advertising strategies, and whether "searching for tourists' blogs and making relevant positive comments about Moab" is somebody's job description.

I would apply for that job. You know what else is cool, besides Moab? TWITTER!
